Rapid and sensitive detection of microbial spoilers in filtered and non-filtered beer and beverages. Microbial spoilers can cause serious problems in beer and beverages already at presence in low numbers. Therefore it is essential to regularly check the microbial status of your installation, production process and intermediate or ends products. Increase your product quality by rapid analysis during production, before and after bottling. Regular microbial testing increases the chance of early signaling of upcoming issues in the installation. Such early warning allows you to take precautive measures and prevent further spreading.
It is of great importance that your products are free from microbial spoilage flora. However, usually, these are only present in small quantities in your product. To be able to detect these small quantities, we have developed a special pre-processing technique at Innosieve Services. With this methodology, we can test the entire product, for example, a whole bottle of beer. Because microbial spoilage flora is only spoilage flora if it can actually grow in beer, we test with this procedure whether it can multiply in the product. The growth of microbial spoilage flora is demonstrated using our patented MuScan(R) system. With this method, every living and growing microbial organism present in the product is detected.
The process flow is presented below."The speed and support of Innosieve Services have helped us enormously to gain control over our production process."

In case you have contamination in your product with a spoilage organism, or you want to test your product for the presence of specific organisms, we can perform a molecular method analysis. For this purpose, we utilize the Beer-Assure TM RT-PCR method. This method allows us to determine whether one (or more) of the most common undesirable yeasts or bacteria are present in your product.
The Beer-Assure TM RT-PCR method is based on fluorescent real-time PCR, where a small segment of DNA is amplified to high quantities. Using a fluorescent signal, it is then determined whether this DNA is present. The DNA varies for each organism. Based on these differences, PCR can distinguish between these microorganisms.
Yeast identification
The Beer-AssureTM YeastCheck method directs to the identification of the most relevant brewing/beer-spoiling yeast from your beer product.
The Beer-AssureTM YeastCheck method has been validated and compared against the recognized reference method Genedisc - scoring a 100% match with more than 50 commercial yeast strains and 180 different beer styles samples, like Pilsner, Blond, Double, Session IPA, White, Barleywine, NEIPA, Stout, Porter, Sour and Fruit.
The Beer-AssureTM YeastCheck method allows the reliable identification of the following yeast strains:
Bacterial spoiler identification
The Beer-AssureTM BactiCheck method allows identification of the most relevant spoilage bacteria.
